Do I need any baking experience?
Not at all! This class is designed specifically for beginners.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide the ingredients, starter, and materials needed during class.
Will I bake a loaf during class?
You’ll prepare and shape your dough during class, then take it home to proof and bake fresh in your own oven.
Do I get to keep the sourdough starter?
Yes! Every student leaves with an active sourdough starter to continue baking at home.
How long is the class?
The workshop lasts approximately 3 hours.
What if I’ve tried sourdough before and failed?
Perfect! This class is designed to simplify the process and help troubleshoot the most common beginner mistakes.
Will we learn how to feed and maintain a starter?
Absolutely. Starter care and feeding are a major part of the class.
What tools do I need at home?
A Dutch oven and kitchen scale are helpful, but we’ll also discuss beginner-friendly alternatives.
Is this class hands-on?
Yes! Students will mix, stretch, fold, and shape dough themselves throughout the workshop.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Of course! Just make sure each person attending has their own ticket and workspace.
Will there be flour and gluten in the class?
Yes. This is a traditional sourdough bread workshop using wheat flour.
Cancellation Policy
Due to limited seating and the preparation required for each workshop, we ask that any cancellations be made at least 72 hours before the class start time to receive a refund or class credit.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop and no-shows are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member with advance notice.
In the rare event that we must cancel or reschedule a class, guests will receive the option of a full refund or class credit.
